Zac Browser For Ipad / Android Tablets

    Hi John,

    Thanks very much for your great work with Zac Browser.
    My autistic son is dependent on it and has improved his learning by a lot because of your work.
    Would you consider to port this to Android or Ipad?
    Because a touch screen interface of a tablet would allow an autistic child to use a computer more intuitively, without help from an adult and that would radically improve the experience.

    Can you explain Zac Picto? Walmart has a new version of a tablet. It's a Vizio Tablet. Very affordable. It supports flash. Would this tablet work? We are exploring ways to have my daughter sit in restaurants, church, etc. She loves Zac Browser, thus we are looking for a mobile version.

    What are my options??

    Hi Donna,

    Zac Picto is a software for parents, teachers, therapists and any other caregivers in touch with someone with autism. You can read more information at www.zacpicto.com. Zac Browser will be out before the end of the year for Android Tablets running Honeycomb - We need to do some tests for previous versions of Android (2.1 or 2.2) before confirming the availability.

    If you are on a hurry to get a Tablet then I think the Vizio can be a good solution - If you can wait a little then we might come up with good news :)

    Im hoping that there will be the picto and browser on android soon. i just picked up my son an archos 80 g9. I am anxiously waiting for some zac programs for it..

    My son has improved a lot with independent learning on zac browser. Thanks!
    I wont mind paying for a commercial product that is customizable. We parents pay so much for therapy and all that.
