I have contacted the virus company and they want me to attach the file in an email but it will not allow me to do it for some reason. They had me run a collector program so they could get some more info which I sent to them but they are still requesting that specific file. If you guys could be of any help by contacting them and getting them the info they need to help this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Mark Crigley _________________________________________________________________ support | 11.06.2011 12:02 Hello Mark, Thank you for your message - Please let us know what version of Avira anti-virus and we will contact them right now. _________________________________________________________________ biodiesel | 18.06.2011 01:21 Sorry for the delay but been busy. Here is a snapshot of the version info of avira. Just wanted to add that I did contact them first and they have had me jumping through hoops to try and resolve this. Download this, run this, attach this, disable this and turn on that send us that OMG!!!! Maybe you guys can just send them the file they need directly and it will be resolved. They want the executable file that is giving the problem. The kzmouse.exe file and I can not attach it. Everytime the program loads it loads it to a different temp file and when then it is use, and it goes on and on. Hopefully you will be able to resolve this pretty painlessly. At least I hope so since it has not been such for me and my son pretty much has a melt down if he cant play his zac browser!!!! He loves it!!!! Thank you soooooooo much in advance from all of us here. He will be sooooo happy to have it back and when he is happy we are happy!!!! _________________________________________________________________ support | 18.06.2011 09:40 Thank you very much for the information - We will contact Avira right now and keep you in touch when the issue is fixed. _________________________________________________________________ mel2979 | 20.06.2011 02:05 Hi, I'm getting a virus alert from F-Secure everytime my children use Zac browser. Vexira is apparently still reporting the kzmouse.exe file as a virus. Their website is www.centralcommand.com. Thanks!
Hi Matt - Thank you for the information. We have reported the false positive to Central Command. We will keep you informed.
Thank you for the information. We have tested and confirmed that this is a false positive. Vexira Antivirus detected kzmouse.exe using it's advanced Zero-Day detection as an infection. The tuning of this technology was a little too aggressive and it will be corrected in our next database release. We'll provide you an update once the new database is ready. Sincerely, Ryan C. Technical Services Manager Vexira Technical Support Services Central Command, Inc.
Message from Bit Defender: I will escalate the request to my colleagues from the lab and they will provide you with all the information that you need on how to solve this issue.
Progress: Dear Customer, We have sent the file to our Virus Lab for analysis purposes and we will contact you with more information once this process has been successfully completed. Best regards, Cristian Bitdefender Technical Support Engineer
Conclusion from Bitdefender: The detection is a false positive (a false positive occurs when the program mistakenly flags a legitimate file as being a threat). The issue was corrected and the fix will be implemented via automatic update. If the situation persists after updating Bitdefender please run a deep system scan and send us the resulting attached to your email.
We use Lightspeed Systems as our security agent for the Mosinee School District and it reports kzmouse.exe as containing wormWin32.Autorun.IK. Hopefully you can work with them to ignore this false positive. Thanks
I just installed the Zac Browser. We're using Faronics Anti-Virus Active Protection and upon starting up the browser, Faronics reports a threat and blocks the kzmouse.exe. Do you need to contact Faronics? We're using version 2.10.2101.130 of the Faronics Anti-Virus software.
